WHAT WE DO FOR BUILDERS

Chemical grout soil stabilization is becoming very popular with deep excavation sites where the common types of soil retention such as Contiguous Piling or Shore Piling are far too expensive and there are concerns with damage to neighbouring properties from vibration.

EXCAVATION

BMC Chemical Grout Injection is Perth’s most cost effective grout injection company. We provide a cost effective solution compared to other soil stabilization underpinning methods such as Contiguous Piling, Shore Piling etc. We offer a unique advantage being there is no disruption or movement to existing fixtures and adjacent properties whilst works are being carried out. Grout can be installed below an existing structure to solidify the soil. This allows deep excavation to be carried out next to the structure without the risk of it being undermined. Adjusting the mix allows for the grout to be soft enough to carve with a small excavator or jack hammer without weakening its effectiveness.

UNDERPINNING AND SETTLEMENT

Settlement issues such as walls cracking because of soft footings and voiding under slabs are common. BMC regularly carry out underpinning and ground improvement works to secure existing failing fixtures. Installation is a simple process, either injecting directly into the soil under the existing footing or core drilling through concrete slabs and floor boards for installation access if required. Once installed the grout blocks will arrest any sinking and ensure that no further damage is caused. The building can then be monitored ensuring the technique has worked, after which the cracking walls can be repaired.

SHORESAFE ENGINEERING

When the Underpinning or Settlement needs to be that much stronger BMC have exclusively designed Shoresafe Engineering. This is where steel rods are introduced into the repair work to give extra stability and strength. This has proven very effective on some difficult Construction sites.

ENGINEERING

Determining the optimum and most cost effective solution requires years of experience in foundation and soil stabilisation disciplines. This includes gaining hands on experience in varying and challenging construction sites. Only then can a project be correctly evaluated to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for our client.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE GROUT INJECTION PROCESS?

On average, a thorough site inspection and quotation will be provided within two days of contacting BMC. Once the estimate has been accepted, all site work is then usually completed in less than seven days or when it is best suited for our client.

DOES GROUT INJECTION WORK IN ALL SOILS AND SITUATIONS?

No, grout injection is best suited to sandy soils. While the majority of Perth soil is sand based, there are some areas with higher clay content. Where this is the case, a site inspection will confirm what extra work will need to be carried out. Please contact BMC to arrange a comprehensive site review and recommendations.

IS SOIL STABILISATION DAMAGING TO THE WATER TABLE?

No, BMC specialises in soil stabilisation using rapid-set, microfine cement. Such cement dries very quickly to prevent any possible contamination of underground water systems.

ARE THE SOIL STABILISATION SERVICES OFFERED BY BMC QUALITY ASSURED?

BMC services are completed in accordance with strict quality standards for your protection. We adhere to the strict criteria set-out by our Engineers, as per Australian standards AS4678 and AS3600, to ensure we follow proper procedures for soil stabilisation and underpinning.

Once soil stabilisation services have been provided, you will be presented with a formal Certificate of Completion for your records and all work is insured.
